NAR
Mandatory Periodic Code of Ethics Training and Continuing Education
Effective
January 1, 2001 through December 31, 2004, and once every four years
thereafter, you are required to complete quadrennial ethics training
of not less than two hours and thirty minutes of instructional time.
Failure
to complete the required periodic ethics training every four years
shall be considered a violation of a membership duty for which REALTOR®
membership shall be suspended until such time as the required training
is completed.
Every
association is required to provide access to necessary ethics training
programs. Any training offered pursuant to this requirement must meet
the learning objectives and minimum criteria established by the
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® from time to time.
This
ethics class is not to be confused with the DRE mandatory ethics
class. This is a new class required by the National
association of realtors® and the Bay East Association has
implemented a programto
ensure that all REALTOR® members can complete the requirement before
the end of the year.
Revei
has produced a video (Ethics,
Professional Conduct & The Real Estate Professional) that
fulfills NAR requirements and the DRE ethics course requirement.
If
you take the course to fulfill NAR requirements only, the course is
FREE. If you take the course for 3 Hrs of Ethics DRE credit and to
fulfill NAR requirements, there is a charge of $30.00 with education
advantage 25.00.
